The most beginner classes are scheduled for Sunday in Newton Lower Falls. Prior Lindy Hop experience is needed for the Friday evening classes in Newton, Saturday classes in Brookline (except for the Solo Jazz Routine which is open to all levels) and 2 of the Sunday classes. There will be something for everyone and a variety of topics covered including fundamentals, partnering, footwork variations, solo Jazz, slow dancing and rhythm. For those really looking for a challenge there is a partner routine class to end the afternoon on Saturday. Skye and Naomi are two of the must popular instructors on the scene today and we are very excited for this opportunity to have them teaching in our own backyard!

Uptown Swing

Saturday, November 27 will be our next monthly Uptown Swing Dance in Brookline with the very fabulous Gordon Webster & Band, featuring the vocals of Naomi Uyama! Her singing is as beautiful as her dancing. Also included during the evening will be a demo with Skye and Naomi that you won’t want to miss. Special for this month, Uptown Swing has been extended to run until 12:30am. For information about the dance:

New Lindy Hop Swing and Balboa Class Session

Yes, this is planning ahead, but our next 6 week session of classes is now up! Classes will be continuing in both our Newton and the new Boston location.

New classes in Beginner Swing/Intro to Lindy Hop Level 1 and Lindy Hop Level 2 will again be offered in both Newton Lower Falls starting Sunday evenings on January 9 and in Boston on Monday evenings on January 10. Both locations are conveniently accessible by car or T with free parking available. It will be possible to make up missed classes at the alternate location, which has been working out nicely these last 2 sessions.

Also coming up, we have a new class for intermediate to advanced Lindy Hoppers on Partner Charleston. We’ll be covering a new variety of partner Charleston moves to add to your Lindy Hop repertoire while focusing on execution and pizazz to make it look really cool:-) This class will meet on Sundays in Newton.

On Monday nights in Boston we have added a Beginning Balboa class. It has been quite awhile since we taught a class for those new to Balboa, so if this is something you have been wanting to learn, join us Mondays in January! We’ll be covering the core moves as well as technique and style that gives Balboa its own special flavor. This class will be ideal for those new to Balboa as well as those wanting to review and refine basics.

Registration is open. Check the website for more information:
