The 7 different sessions at this level are designed to provide a good base for social dancing. Okay to start with any session. No experience or partner required.
6:00–7:20pm Partner Charleston Variations Charleston is a very fun component of Lindy Hop with seemingly endless possibilities for playing with variations. We’ll start with classic moves and with partnering and changing up the rhythm patterns, add to the options. A great way to work on musicality, momentum and flow! This class will be for those at Level 2 or above.
7:30–8:50pm Tranky Doo The Tranky Doo is a very fun Jazz line dance, originally choreographed by Pepsi Bethel in the 1940s. Although Lindy Hoppers have kept it alive for decades, it has more recently made a resurgence on the social dance floor. If you’ve been wanting to join in the fun, we’ll be teaching a currently popular version.
