David Liberge teaches Hip Hop on Sunday afternoons
at Green
Street Studios, Cambridge (near Central Square), MA and Thursday
evenings at Perishable Theatre (Groundwerx
Movement Center), Providence, RI.
Classes are usually taught in 3 week sessions (one 75 minute
lesson per week for 3 weeks). Each 3 week session works
on a different fun Hip Hop routine to part of a song. During some months,
classes are given separately, just choose which ones to take. The
classes are great
for working on body isolations and movement, and are taught
in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. They are appropriate for all levels,
you do not need to have any prior experience and can start with
any session. These
are adult classes, but teens are welcome to attend. To get
notified about these or future classes,
please ask to be added to our mailing
list.
Registration: Please
pre-register to ensure a spot (Cambridge
Registration Form or Providence
Registration Form). Registration is not
complete and a place is not secured until payment is received.
If pre-registered,
please arrive 10 minutes
before class time on the first day to allow time to check-in.
If not pre-registered,
please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to register and
pay (space permitting). If you are
not able to pre-register, please still submit an on-line
registration form to help speed your registration on the
first day.
If you are new to our studio and would like to try out a class,
you may register and if you decide not to take the session, contact us within 2 days after the first lesson for a refund (less $15). Check the directions for
parking information (Cambridge
Directions or Providence
Directions).
SHOES: Please
bring clean comfortable shoes to change into. Either sneakers or
flat soft-soled dance shoes
are suitable. Street shoes
are not
permitted in the dance studio in order to keep outside dirt and
grit from damaging the floor. Please change shoes in the hallway
before entering
the studio. Loose clothing
suggested. You may also wish to bring a bottle of water to drink
during class. |

"Just
wanted to thank you (Tony) and Aurelie for your wonderful
dance instruction...I really appreciated the teaching
methods that you and Aurelie used. You broke everything
down and allowed us plenty of opportunity to practice
(again and again) the moves we'd just learned. Also,
you were so very positive and encouraging - not to
mention generous with the time you spent with me/us
individually! AND, you were great not only at identifying
my areas of "weakness", but at giving very
specific and concrete suggestions on how to address
whatever it was that was going wrong. Incredibly
helpful!"

"...just
want to thank you for being such wonderful teachers,
delightful people, and powerful advocates and supporters
of the Swing dance community! It has been terrific
participating in your classes; I learned so very
much and enjoyed myself all the way."
