This has a well maintained wooden floor and people are required to bring a change of clean shoes, either sneakers (smoother soles have less traction and are better, allowing for easy turning) or soft-soled flat dance shoes. (Please, no hard soled, or black rubber soled shoes that leave marks.) Please change shoes in the lobby to help prevent outside dirt from getting on the wooden floor.

MacKenzie Center is located two blocks from the intersection of Centre Street and Beacon Street, south on Centre Street. It is air-conditioned.

By Car

From North and South:

1. Exit 19A off Rte. 128/I-95 (Highland Avenue).
2. Left at 3rd light onto Winchester (road becomes Centre Street).
3. The MacKenzie Center is number 1337 on the left just before Crescent Avenue. It is two blocks before the intersection with Beacon Street (a big intersection with light).
4. Parking is available in the rear parking lot accessible by turning left on Crescent Avenue (one way). The lot entrance is immediately on your left. Enter the building by the rear parking lot entrance.

From Boston and Cambridge:

1. Exit 17 off Mass. Pike/I-90 West (Newton/Watertown).
2. Keep in left lane (Newton), go straight at lights at top of ramp, then stay left crossing over Mass. Pike/I-90.
3. Next right onto Centre Street.
4. Go about 2 miles crossing Beacon Street (a big intersection with light).
5. Immediately after the light turn right at the fork staying on Center Street.
6. Go two blocks to Crescent Avenue on the right. The MacKenzie Center is number 1337 on the right just after Crescent Avenue.
7. To park, turn right onto Crescent Avenue (one way) and first left into the parking lot behind the MacKenzie Center. Enter the building by the rear parking lot entrance.

By Subway T

Short walk from Newton Centre Subway T stop on D branch of Green Line:

1. Newton Centre Subway T stop on D branch of Green Line (check the MBTA Subway T schedules and maps at www.mbta.com).
2. Exit station and turn left.
3. Walk to the end of the street and it will join Beacon Street just before the light with Centre Street.
4. Cross Centre Street at the light.
5. Turn left and walk down Centre Street two blocks (stay right on Centre Street when the road forks).
6. MacKenzie Center is number 1337 on the right just after Crescent Avenue.
7. Enter the building by the rear parking lot entrance by turning right down Crescent Avenue and then walking around the MacKenzie Center building which is on your left.
