Lindy Hop/Beginner Swing Level 1 (6 weeks)
Featured topic for this session: Breaks!Level 1 classes get a mix of brand new dancers and continuing students. There are several different sessions at this level, each with new content, which can be taken in any order. Included this session, we’ll be playing with breaks, which add a nice variety to your dancing! We’ll cover how to lead and follow, how to fit with the music, plus some fun variations. Students are recommended to stay at this level long enough both to cover many of the important elements of Lindy Hop as well as to feel very comfortable with what’s taught before moving to the next level. The aim is to work on developing a solid foundation of dance skills while building a repertoire of moves for social dancing. Discount after 2 full sessions. (No experience required to join.) |

Lindy Hop/Beginner Swing Level 1 (6 weeks)
Featured topic for this session: Charleston!This class gets a mix of brand new dancers as well as continuing Level 1 students. There are several different sessions at this level, each with new content, which can be taken in any order. For this session, the focus will be on partner Charleston, a very fun component of Lindy Hop! Covered will be some of our favorite classic moves. If you have learned some Charleston and would like to work on how to get the feel and styling into your movement and also how to connect and move with a partner, this will be a good one for you. No experience required. Students are recommended to stay at this level long enough both to cover many of the important elements of Lindy Hop as well as to feel very comfortable with what’s taught before moving to the next level. The aim is to work on developing a solid foundation of dance skills while building a repertoire of moves for social dancing. Discount after 2 full sessions. (No experience required to join.)

Rhythm Variations
In this class we’ll explore a variety of ways to add rhythm changes to your dancing. Included will be fun footwork variations for swingouts for leads and follows, along with some partner led possibilities to play with moves you may already know. In addition, we’ll contrast some choices which are influenced by different music. If you like to play with the rhythm to create new ways to change up your Lindy Hop, this will be a class for you! Previous Lindy Hop experience is required with solid fundamentals. (For intermediate to advanced.)
