Dancing to Fast Music
Do you shy away from the dance floor, or does your dancing fall apart when there’s a fast song? Something we love about Lindy Hop is how well it works with most tempos. With the skills and practice, it’s super fun to dance fast! Using your pulse, movement, momentum and partnering are all essential to making it easier, rather than frantic and messy. Included will be variations which fit nicely when the tempos go up. For intermediate to advanced Lindy Hoppers. Bonus feature! We’ll be using the classic “Stops” routine for something fun to drill as we work on moving faster and more efficiently. Known by Lindy Hoppers around the world, this short routine was originally created by Frankie Manning when he took a series of “freezes” he had danced and realized they could be done with any song. The rest is history!
